Start your journey from Port Blair, which is the capital of these islands. From here you can take the government ferries to travel to various islands. Some of the most important islands to hop for include Neil Island, Havelock Island, which also offer plethora of water sports activities, scuba diving being one of the most adventurous.

Instead of Andaman packages that typically include resorts and fancy hotels with meal plans, exploring the many islands by yourself means you get the best deals on food and accommodation. Take the volcano tour in the Barren island, charter a boat, join groups or trek to reach Elephant Beach – one of the best places to see in Andaman.

Guides will assist you during your trip to the Elephant Beach. This is the second best attraction at Havelock Island after Radhanagar Beach. You are allowed to carry your own snorkeling equipment here too. This is great way to save some money if you already own diving equipment.
