For millions of people nationwide, summertime is the perfect excuse to get out and travel.
That said there are a myriad of locations you can take your loved ones over the summer months.
Whether you plan to be near or far from home, take advantage of the great weather.
For those living in colder weather climates, remember, summer only lasts for so long. As such, you have to get out and take advantage of all it has to offer.
Getting Out to Enjoy Summertime
With fun in mind, keep some of the following destinations in mind as you plan your summer adventures:
- Niagara Falls
Separating the U.S. and Canada, Niagara Falls is always a winning choice.
For visitors to the area, searching for Niagara Falls hotels packages is not all that hard.
There are plenty of good options available. Avoid any last-minute bookings to lessen the odds of missing out on your preference.
When it comes to things to do, the waterfalls of course take top precedence.
That said there are many other Niagara Falls attractions on both sides of the border to keep you busy.
Taking in all the area has to offer will need several days, so don’t plan to rush while visiting.
From 18th Century history to modern day aquariums and more, you and your kids will not get bored.
- Hollywood
What child (and adult for that matter) wouldn’t want to spend a day or two roaming around Hollywood?
Even though California is the nation’s most populous state, you can still find space in and out of Hollywood.
One word of caution, yet, be sure to make time for the traffic that the greater Los Angeles area is well-known for.
Once you’ve got the traffic matter behind you, prepare to see a lot of star-studded sites.
From Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, there is plenty to see and do.
From there, you can slip on over to Beverly Hills.
Glitzy storefronts and glamorous celebrity homes await you.
With Hollywood and Beverly Hills out of the way, you can visit downtown L.A.
Whether you want to take in a MLB game at Dodger Stadium or visit the GRAMMY Museum, there are plenty of options.
- Washington, D.C.
Although some people would never set foot in Washington, D.C. as a result of politics, many others are happy to do so.
In visiting the nation’s capital, you have a plethora of history right at your footsteps.
You can see the White House, Smithsonian, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial Jefferson Memorial.
Despite the crowds in the summertime, there is still room to maneuver around if you plan.
Be sure to rely on your feet or mass transit, as driving in this city can be nerve-wracking at times.
- Orlando
Will your children grow up having not seen Disney World?
Even though central Florida can be hot and humid, a trip to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse can be incredibly refreshing.
Along with meeting these iconic Disney characters, there is so much more to enjoy. From thrilling rides and attractions to cooling off by the pool, you’ll never run out of things to do.
And with exciting vacation packages to Disney World, you can easily plan the perfect trip, making it even easier to experience everything the park has to offer.
By the time your days are over touring Disney World, you and your kids will have a lifetime of cherished memories.
So, with these four and many other choices available, where are you taking your family this summer?
